The Bainbridge Island Community School Program is sponsored by the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of Bainbridge Island Community School is to link community educational needs with resources to enhance the occupational skills and interests of local citizens. A variety of classes are designed to help people enhance their existing work skills or learn new ones. Classes are held in the evening during the Fall, Winter and Spring. They range from two to sixteen hours and are taught by members of the local business community, many of whom also teach at surrounding community colleges.

This course is designed for novice computer users and those without any computer background. Each student will use a computer and receive hands-on training, using various types of software programs. The course is intended to help students select a computer to suit their needs, understand the basics of how a computer functions, and which software products perform different functions. Do you know people who just drive you crazy? Can’t figure out what’s going on with them? Generally people aren’t trying to drive us crazy, they just have different ways of approaching life—what motivates one person has no effect on another.
