This project will provide the old historic boats of the Pacific Northwest with a permanent deepwater salt moorage, a repair facility and a way to get maximum exposure to the Northwest community and its visitors. This home port for historic ships would be a asset for Seattle and the entire Pacific Northwest, as well as Bainbridge Island.

There is another pressing reason for seeing this project become a reality. Our rich marine and waterfront heritage has slowly disappeared, taken over by condos and other development. The old, interesting places have given way to the new and the trinket shops. A project of this scale would go a long way to securing our interesting and vital past a viable place in the future.
