GOALS UPDATES RESOURCES

INNER RESOURCES MINUTES APRIL 5, 1999 Attendance: Leigh Calvez, Carolyn Rudolf, Neve Boyd, Hans Hawmer, Johanna Zetterberg, Neva Welton Concrete goals were discussed and agreed upon. The goals are as follows: INNER RESOURCES GOALS   Work with Island Faith Groups: Follow-up at Interfaith Council Meeting on May 6th Secure speaking engagements with up to four groups per month. Build Alliance with Island Mental Health and Alternative-Care Providers: Send letter of invitation by April 12th Write and submit press release by April 12th Confirm and set meeting for at least twenty providers by May 12th Create alliance parameters and asset map group by June 12th Set up Mental Health Disaster Training for providers Develop and Present Workshops Asset map IR group by April 5th Create outlines for specific workshops/ On-going Contact others outside of the group to present workshops/ On-going Produce one workshop a month Create Monthly Forum Research Open Space Technology by April 12th Create format for monthly forum Find venue and set dates for six months starting May 20th We gave feedback on "letter to alliance". Leigh will rewrite the second draft to be sent by April 12th. We also discussed how the alliance might begin to take shape by using a model of "building scenarios" in order to calculate possible responses. We decided on two quotes as possible starters for the Wednesday meeting. Neva will clear this with Steering group. The mailing list for the alliance was passed around and two names were added. We discussed workshops, presentations, and other possible events. These include: two presentations from Johanna (outlines due in two weeks to one month), an Earth Day acknowledgement by BIRCN, a discussion group based on New Dimensions 13 part audio series, and a summer festival. Neva will call Whidbey Island group to check out their Psychological Action Group, will research town hall style meetings, and will keep on investigating ways to get disaster training for alliance volunteers. A good time was had by all even though we had apple slices instead of cookies. THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE AT NEVA�S HOUSE, APRIL 19, 1999
